The mud appears to have largely settled on the Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar rap beef (for now), however the musical backwards and forwards between the 2 hip-hop titans has imprinted itself on popular culture. That imprint contains online game mods, as a Mortal Kombat 1 fan has just lately recreated each rappers within the recreation to pit them towards one another. You possibly can take a look at a match utilizing the mod beneath, however spoilers, it ends the identical approach the real-world beef did: Kendrick received.
The mod by NegativeZoneNerd is up on Nexus Mods as Def Jam MK1 Pack 1 – Kendrick VS Drake, a reference to the Def Jam combating recreation sequence starring completely different rappers and hip-hop artists from the mid-2000s. The sequence has been dormant since 2007, so followers haven’t been capable of pit lots of trendy rappers towards each other in a combating recreation. However this Mortal Kombat 1 mod is a good sufficient substitute. The Def Jam MK1 Pack has two choices to play as Lamar, one makes the “Not Like Us” rapper a pores and skin for Reiko, and the opposite helps you to play as him as a pores and skin for Kung Lao. Drake, in the meantime, is a pores and skin for Johnny Cage.

The Drake vs. Kendrick beef has been entertaining to observe unfold and I don’t suppose I’ve ever seen individuals be so unified on-line. Although it appears each of them have stopped dropping songs about one another for now, it was simply probably the most vital popular culture moments of 2024, despite the fact that it’s solely Might. Folks like to watch others be haters. I now perceive why they held gladiator matches in historic Rome. Mortal Kombat 1 mods aren’t these, however the combating recreation is brutal sufficient that it provides you a modicum of the identical adrenaline rush.
Anyway, stream “Not Like Us” in your favourite music streaming service.
